And here's the first: Rain suggested we create a new logo for the uniforms. What do you think? Should we? What should be on it?

Also, way back in the dawn of prehistory (at MSN, I think) we discussed having badges or pins denoting various skill sets, such as pilots, astronauts, aquanauts, engineering, medical and what I would call "rescue specialists". What do you think of this? Is it a good idea?

I really like this idea. Maybe keep the original IR logo, but superimpose another image over it, or off to the side. Some symbol to represent each "job". Or instead, a seperate, smaller patch on the arm of the uniform to denote said job. It could be considered a security risk of sorts, but it could also be more helpfull to have the correct person in the correct postion during a rescue. Easier to identify what each operative is doing rather than wasting precious time asking around.

Oooh, I like that idea. Maybe a bird symbol for the pilots?

Not a bad idea, scuppy. Of course it'd have to be a thunderbird, right? image

If they used pins, probably each one would wear what symbolizes their primary responsibility, like scuppy's idea for the pilots, and probably a caduceus for the medical team members. Maybe a dolphin for the aquanauts.

Brains, Tin-Tin and Callie are supposed to be primarily various types of engineers. So what would symbolize their specialites?

I've come up with a new insignia, but I'd like some input and critique on it, and in no way am I saying that this is it. If someone else can come up with something different, go for it!
