Just tonight I saw a sequence of events that showed me how much we inspire each other as we write.
First, Lynn had me look over a post to give her some feedback. Not really a beta, but just asking if things were IC and if there was anything else that could be added. She had Cassie wondering how she could send a card to Luke without giving anything away, and Scott coming up with an idea to do so.
When I was writing my post, with Jeff telling the recruits, it suddenly occurred to me that greeting card companies like Hallmark offer a service where you can order a paper card online and they'd mail it for you. So, I figured that if they did it now, why not in the future, and I added it to my post.
I sent my post to Liz for beta and I asked her if there were any questions that the recruits could ask, because I knew there were things that I wasn't thinking of. She came back with a list of questions, some of which I added into the post.
Susan saw what I had written, especially the last question asked, and was inspired to add to her post (Anna and Tyler on the beach). She added the bits about Tyler questioning why God let things like this happen.
So, here you have a chain reaction of how we inspire each other. This is what makes writing as an ensemble so much fun! I hope you all continue to be inspired by your fellow writers. I know you all inspire me.
